What are Friends of Camp Tahigwa up to Now?
#SaveTahigwa Unfortunately, we now believe that Camp Tahigwa is in imminent danger of either closing, or being "divested" to the point that it is unrecognizable. We need your help to ensure Tahigwa remains a place where girls grow in confidence, courage, and character for years to come. You can help by staying in touch with us on Facebook, and remembering to Write, Do, and Tell.
Write to the Board of Directors, Property Committee, Girl Scouts Staff, local media, representatives, Allamakee County officials, etc. about how important camp is.
Do continue to participate in events at Tahigwa. Even better, plan your own. We're here to help.
Tell anyone and everyone about what camp is, how they can get involved, and how important it is. Following us on Facebook is a great way to stay in the loop.
If we hear differently, we will let you know! We would love to be wrong - but until we have concrete information otherwise, we believe that now is the time to write, do, and tell.
We had a great time and a great turnout for all of our events this year, including Women of the Wild, Paltastic/Camptastic, and Bridge to Bismarks. Our events are done for 2015, but we will continue to spread the word about other events at camp! We can't wait to see you in 2016. Women of the Wild 3,
our Spring event for Women is coming up April 22-24, and promises to be bigger and better than ever! Mark your calendar now! Camptastic and Paltastic 6
are being scheduled right now. Stay tuned for more information.Volunteers
are always needed to plan and promote our events. Please let us know how you can help with our programs/efforts by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
